Laid Back

Laid Back, es una banda de funk danesa, formada en Copenhague, en el año 1979. Está compuesta por Tim Stahl y John Guldberg. A Laid Back seguro que lo conoce todo el mundo aunque no sea por su nombre, sino por esta canción fantástica que sacaron en el año 1982 llamada "Sunshine Reggae". Un tema que nos hizo mover la cintura a la mayoría en latinoamérica, ya que este tipo de música es muy escuchada y bailada por su influencia jamaiquina.

Mejor conocidos durante la década de los ochenta e inicios de los noventa. Laid Back ha incorporado estilos musicales como el synth y funk. Mundialmente son famosas las canciones de Sunshine Reggae (1982) y White Horse (1983). En el Perú, Sunshine Reggae fue más popular que White Horse y probablemente también en Sudamérica. Sin embargo, en Estados Unidos fue lo contrario, debido al estilo musical propio de los clubes de aquel país; quizás también por la letra de la canción “If you want to ride...don't ride the white horse”, “f you want to be rich, you've got to be a bitch”, que pocas personas latinas entienden. Sólo basta que cualquier canción (con idioma diferente al español) sea melódica, para que sea popular. Aqui tienen los video clips de "SUNSHINE REGGAE" y "WHITE HORSE".
